Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from N.C. State University, 2013. Master’s in Civil Engineering from N.C. State University, 2016.
Professional Experience: Since May of 2016, Justin has been employed as a project manager and engineering intern with TerraTech Engineers. During his time with TerraTech Engineers, he has: managed construction materials testing projects spanning the residential, multi-residential, commercial, and industrial markets; assisted with the design of mechanically stabilized earth (MSE), reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, and H‑Pile and lagging retaining walls; performed subsurface investigations as well as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Prior to joining the TerraTech family, Justin served as a Research and Teaching Assistant while completing a Master of Civil Engineering degree at North Carolina State University. As a research and teaching assistant, he instructed several laboratory sections of CE 342: Engineering Behavior of Soils and Foundations, and performed research for a project investigating the effects of matric suction on temporary slope stability and for a project investigating correlations between dynamic cone penetrometer testing and the resilient modulus of pavement subgrade soils.
